1. Campus of Perm State University
Perm University (PSU) is the oldest university in the Ural region. It was founded in 1916 and has since acquired attractive buildings, a local botanical garden, and even a museum. In the university’s botanical garden, you can immerse yourself in the Permian period by strolling among plants that existed over 250 million years ago. In the museum, you can explore not only the university’s history but also the use of VR technology to create virtual exhibitions and 3D objects.

2. Garden of stones
Visitors to the city are welcomed by a 12-meter photogenic art installation. At night, the installation is illuminated, giving the landscape a completely different appearance. The author of this «gateway,» Nikolay Polissky, drew inspiration from the Kama River and the trees floating on it. At the end of their «journey,» the logs floating down the river converge into a chaotic figure, which served as the prototype for the future Perm Gates.

3. Extreme Park
The Extreme Park is a place where enthusiasts of boards and wheeled footwear can express themselves. The park is equipped with sunken, funnel-shaped, and wavy platforms for training. Those who prefer to watch can also enjoy their time as there are stands providing views of all the training areas.

4. House of Loaders
This is one of the most interesting architectural landmarks in Perm. The house combines different styles: constructivism and Stalinist style. This former dormitory for employees of the Kama Shipping Company gained popularity in the 2010s when the TV series «Real Guys» was broadcast nationwide, with some scenes shot in one of the apartments in this building. Today, guided tours are conducted here.

5. Esplanade
The central square of the city consists of several blocks, stretching from the «Teatr-Teatr» to the Legislative Assembly building. Regular events are held here, including a winter ice town and summer festivals. In 2022, the Esplanade underwent a reconstruction, creating multiple relaxation areas: children’s playgrounds with musical instruments, hammocks for yoga, and more.

6. Tourist information center of Perm
The place where you can plan your trip to Perm and Perm Krai. You can find information about what to do, what to see, what to try or where to go for the weekend, take thematic guides and postcards, buy unique souvenirs. In addition, you can also talk to the robot consultant Julia.

7. Old brick alley
A few years ago, the old courtyard of the Triumph cinema turned into a «third place»– a modern loft space with philharmonics, cozy cafes and photo zones. In the alley you can find fancy monument of Fedor the raccoon.

8. «Smoky dog»
If you love burgers and architecture, we recommend this bar: it has it all – delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and history. When it comes to cuisine, «Smoky Dog» leaves no one hungry, specializing in grilled meat dishes, with vegetarian options available on the menu.

8. «Happiness is just around the corner»
«Happiness is just around the corner» is a well-known Perm art object, captured by millions of tourists and in the frames of famous actors and musicians (for example, in the clip of rapper Kanye West «White dress»). The inscription appears in the movie «Geographer Globe drank» and in the TV series «Real Guys». Souvenir of the «happiness» is sold in many Perm stores: for example, in Perm Sweets, showroom KAMVA, shops Cherdakk, Chest, Russian souvenir, etc.

9. Merchant Popov ‘s House
Multifunctional space in an 18th-century building. Especially recommended to visit it: the founders of the cafe recreated the stucco on the entrance arches and cleaned the walls of paint, exposing the brickwork. You can look into the house on the way to the city embankment and drink some good coffee.

11. Shpagin Factory
Shpagin Factory is a socio-cultural space in the historic center of Perm. The former «Rempoutmash,» dating back to the late 19th century, gained a new life in 2019. After restoration, the factory was transformed into a hub for cultural and mass events, including festivals, workshops, lectures, and more.

12. Razgulyai: Tatischev Monument
Razgulyai is the historical heart of Perm. This is where the Egorshikhinsky Plant was founded, which contributed to the city’s growth and development. In 1757-1764, the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the first stone building of the future city, was constructed in this former historical center. Here, you can also find the monument to Vasily Nikitich Tatischev, the founder of the plant.
